Biography

Kyla wanted to join the CRIM program because she always thought stem cells were cool, and it is an exciting field to join since not many people have training for it yet! Kyla hopes to work with a laboratory that is researching diabetes and perhaps divulge into the business aspect of research. She hopes to continue on to PhD/MD program after graduating. She really enjoys working with biomedical engineers who add an interesting element to stem cell research.

After graduating, Kyla obtained a position at Amgen before leaving to complete her nursing degree at Moorpark College to prepare her for a career as a nurse-scientist in the biotech industry.
