Education: BS in Biological Sciences at Cal Poly; MS in Biological Sciences at Cal Poly

Biography: 

Gabriella has developed an interest in understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive disease development with the specific goal of using this information to develop diagnostic tools and patient-specific treatment plans. She is fascinated by regenerative medicine and the potential to utilize the body’s innate healing processes and pathways to develop innovative therapies. Further, she is motivated to explore the potential of stem cells, cellular engineering, and immunotherapy techniques to treat diseases, specifically cancer, more efficiently and precisely than traditional therapies. Upon completion of the program, Gabriella will pursue a career in the biotechnology industry. Ultimately, she is motivated to minimize patients’ suffering and improve their overall health and well-being through her research.
