Education: BS in Biomedical Engineering at Cal Poly; MS in Biomedical Engineering at Cal Poly

Biography: 

Jacob Macatula completed his Undergraduate degree at Cal Poly in Biomedical Engineering. Throughout his collegiate career he was unsure of what part of biomedical engineering to concentrate in. His Junior year he took the pilot Cell Therapy course and became fascinated with regenerative medicine. As he continued to explore the field, he became more interested in tissue engineering. He currently aspires to join the frontline of tissue engineering to develop and optimize methods for creating life changing therapies.
