Education: BS in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at UC Santa Barbara; MS in Biological Sciences at Cal Poly

Biography: 

Kayla believes that Stem cell therapies are the future of medicine. As scientists learn more about the human body, new information about its ability to use its own repair mechanisms for healing and regeneration is uncovered. She has experience researching the molecular mechanisms behind Alzheimer’s Disease, driving her passion for molecular biology and alternate disease treatments such as tissue engineering. Upon graduation, she will pursue research in the biotechnology industry.
