Education:  BS in Biological Sciences; MS in Biological Sciences at Cal Poly

Biography: 

Mariana Guerrero is interested in stem cell research and regenerative medicine because of the potential to cure and treat devastating diseases and injuries. She is particularly interested in cell biology and the role of cell signaling in various terminal conditions. She is also interested in how extracellular vesicles contribute to disease progression and diagnosis. She looks forward to learning new techniques, perspectives, and approaches to regenerative medicine while at Cal Poly. In the future, she hopes to work in Research & Development in the biotechnology field, contributing to the advancement of regenerative medicine and its applications.
