Nathan Tran

Class of 2027

Education: BS in Biomedical Engineering at Cal Poly; MS in Biomedical Engineering at Cal Poly

Biography: 

Nathan's undergraduate research placed a strong emphasis on using animal models to uncover the mechanisms behind vascular regeneration. Through this experience, he became fascinated with the research and the potential of regenerative medicine. Nathan is particularly interested in exploring how stem cells can be used to develop therapies for diseases like diabetes, and he is equally passionate about developing non-animal models for cell and gene therapy testing. Upon completing the program, Nathan hopes to continue working in industry before pursuing his PhD. 

Nathan is currently completing his internship as part of the Research & Development Team at Minutia.
