Education: Blended BS + MS in Biological Engineering at Cal Poly

Biography: 

Maetja is interested in the Regenerative Medicine Program as a unique background that could be applied toward personalized precision medicine. She looks forward to classes in tissue engineering and cell transplantation. She wanted to focus on drug delivery and biologics.With previous research in synthetic medicinal chemistry, this program will extend her interests to testing of pharmaceuticals, design of experiments, and the FDA approval process.

Career-wise, Maetja is interested in working in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with biologics and other regenerative therapies. She wants to have a job that plays an integral role in the health and wellbeing of individuals. She is also considering medical school after some time in industry.
