Biography

Aubrey applied to the CIRM program because she has always been interested in the cutting edge field of stem cell research and tissue engineering and their vast potential as a therapy. Aubrey is interested in working to treat diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or peripheral artery disease. From the internship, she hopes to gain enough experience to enter a PhD program and continue researching.

After graduating, Aubrey lectured for 2 quarters at Cal Poly before obtaining Design Assurance Engineer position with Sadra Medical, working to improve the consistency of tissue-based heart valves.
