Biography

Carl is interested in regenerative medicine because it provides an opportunity to combine biomedical principles with developmental and cellular biology to help patients in ways that traditional medicine can not. He is most interested in the cultivation and purification of multipotent stem cells in different locations in the body to be used in tissue engineering. He wants to work for a company that will allow him to use his training to collect and purify either myocardial stem cells for myocardial infarction patients or the mesenchymal stem cells found in adipose tissue for connective tissue regeneration.
