Biography

Julia is interested in regenerative medicine because there are many diseases that do not currently have suitable treatments. In exploring novel therapeutics, particularly in the growing field of regenerative medicine, there is tremendous potential to attack these conditions and create a healthier, more successful society. She is particularly interested in the applications of stem cell research in cancer therapeutics. After completing her Master’s degree at Cal Poly, Julia wants to continue to pursue a PhD in biomedical engineering, mentoring students through classwork and research.
