Education: BS and MS in Biomedical Engineering at Cal Poly

 

Biography

Leif wanted to work with stem cells because they have the potential to cure numerous diseases using a patient’s own cells, which leads to a more effective therapy with less side effects than conventional treatments. After he graduates from Cal Poly he wants to continue working on potential therapies using stem cells. The best opportunity to do this, whether it is in industry or academia, will be where he can continue his work with stem cells.

After graduating, Leif began his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at UC Davis
